What is Mod Flower?
Mod Flower is a playful, imaginative children’s show where stories, music, puppets, and colorful worlds come together to help young learners read, dream, and create.
Hosted by Sarah, the Mod Flower Librarian, the show invites children into a cozy, magical library universe where curiosity leads the way. Each episode follows a gentle, predictable rhythm that helps kids feel safe and engaged while exploring letters, sounds, patterns, stories, and big ideas. Through portals, playful rituals, and hands-on moments, children are encouraged to move their bodies, use their voices, and think creatively as part of the learning experience.
At its heart, Mod Flower is designed to support early literacy skills in developmentally appropriate ways — including letter recognition, phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, storytelling, and comprehension — all woven seamlessly into songs, puppetry, and imaginative play. Rather than drilling or testing, learning happens through wonder, repetition, and joy.
Creativity and imagination are central to everything in the Mod Flower world. Children are invited to invent, pretend, problem-solve, and see themselves as capable creators. Episodes often include open-ended prompts that encourage kids to think differently, explore new perspectives, and express themselves through movement, sound, art, and play.
Mod Flower also gently introduces STEAM concepts — like patterns, sequencing, cause and effect, design thinking, and basic “coding” ideas — in ways that feel intuitive and embodied. Kids might follow steps, recognize rhythms, build visual patterns, or use their bodies to act out simple systems, laying the foundation for future learning while staying firmly rooted in play.
Above all, Mod Flower is about nurturing confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning — meeting children where they are and celebrating that there’s no single “right” way to grow.
The Music of Mod Flower
Music is a living, breathing part of the Mod Flower universe.
The show features original electronic music inspired by chillwave, synth-pop, and retro sounds, alongside playful modern interpretations of familiar children’s songs. The music is designed to be gentle, catchy, and emotionally regulating, supporting focus, movement, and imaginative exploration rather than overwhelming young listeners.
Songs are intentionally repetitive and singable, helping reinforce early literacy skills, memory, and language development. Some invite kids to move their bodies, some encourage calm reflection, and others spark joy and silliness — all while supporting learning in subtle, meaningful ways.
Music in Mod Flower isn’t just something children listen to — it’s something they participate in, using their voices, bodies, and creativity to engage with rhythm, sound, and pattern.

Sarah Prokop

Sarah Prokop, also known as the Mod Flower Librarian, is a children’s librarian turned content creator, chillwave music producer, puppeteer, and artist. She holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from Illinois State University and a Master’s in Library and Information Sciences with a certificate in Youth Services from Dominican University.
With a deep background in early childhood programming for children ages 0–7 and a lifelong passion for electronic music, Sarah dreamed of blending all her talents into one vibrant, affirming project. In 2025, that dream blossomed into Mod Flower — a YouTube channel and music brand that celebrates learning, feelings, and fun through original synth-driven songs, puppetry, and storytelling.
Thoughtful, hypnotic, multi-layered, electronic songs paired with playful lessons in early literacy, science, art, music, and social-emotional learning are designed to help young learners build confidence and skills for Kindergarten and beyond. Mod Flower invites kids into a colorful world of kindness, curiosity, and calm creativity that is needed in today’s society.
Sarah hopes you’ll join her and her puppet pals in Mod Flower, where the power of music meets the magic of childhood wonder.
